I am not pro-Catholic or pro-religion but I just don't see this as anywhere near a great movie. It was boring and poorly acted/directed. It took me two painful sittings to get through it and I only did that since I was told how great a movie it was.
It was slow-paced and hard to keep focused on what was supposedly "happening". I appreciate the efforts of the Boston Globe to pursue sexual predators but that effort did not translate to the big screen in my opinion.
Extremely average movie at best.
