Review of Spooks: The Greater Good (2015) by Michael M — 16 May 2015
Very poor. Disappointing performance from Kit Harrington. His acting ability seemed very by the book with no emotional input into the character. He seemed to be acting as the character rather than 'being' the character. It was very obvious he was following the script word for word action for action as the was no interpretation, no improvisation by him as if he didn't know the character himself.
The plot was also poor with little character development that left me completely emotionally uninterested in the characters. The film seemed to try and deliberately make itself quotable with the line 'you can either do good or do well' which was repeatedly rammed into your face throughout as a 'deep' and 'thought-provoking' quote.
The title's shit too.
