Review of Spooks: The Greater Good (2015) by Nick R — 17 May 2015
Fans of the TV Series will not be disappointed, although apart from Harry Pearce, almost all the characters have changed. The plot will be familiar to anyone who knows their John Le Carre. Peter Firth is as solid and inscrutable as usual.
Kit Harington does all the running around and climbing tall buildings. Tim McInnerny does just enough to banish memories of Blackadder. Jennifer Ehle does not much, with a rather underwritten part. Solid, but no Bourne or Tinker Tailor Solider Spy.
Curiously, the overhead shots of London focus on three office buildings where I have worked (including my current office) - and none of them is Thames House...
