Review of Split Second (1992) by Blæke W — 05 Jan 2011
Ah yes! a word of warning instead of a review. The story is unoriginal with a plagerized plot, combo if you like. The mild attemps at humour are witty, if your fom pluto, and keep comming. Rutger Hauer has no place to spread his stern wings and kim Cattrall has a constant appreicative second glance at the camera/you so as to acknowledge her/your aprooval, she is astoundingly gorgeous, usually. I can't mention the brittish side-kick parnter, ...enough. The villan, a hybrid pre-apocolyptic morphed 10 foot tall 'the stig' with 'alien' teeth is um avoidable to say the least. Evan the part played by Pete Postlethwaite (a menacing collegue) was unneccesarily over bullied ruining a semi-notable bit part that fit the plot just wasn't written in well.
(Pete Postlethwaite - R.I.P. january2011).
The fire arms are safe to say immpressive (straight out of the mercenaries must have new year catalogue). Embellished like 'commando' in a candy store.
So to sum up, mild action worth a look if your bored or would like to fall asleep in the immediate future.
