Split is a psychological thriller with some horror elements mixed in. The movie relies heavily on the shoulders of James McAvoy. Thankfully, he delivered. We follow Kevin a man with a special psyche, he has a huge identity disorder.

This takes form as no less than 23 distinct personalities in one body. Don't worry, you are not going to have to learn about all 23 of them, a couple of them have taken the 'spotlight' and tie together the story.

The movie begins when Kevin kidnaps three teenage girls and locks them in his house. From there we see the girls trying to escape and we learn about the fact that there is a dangerous 24th personality.

All this resolves into an amazing ending and a great thriller. All credit goes out to James McAvoy for bringing these different personalities to the screen brilliantly, it had to be very difficult to do that on set.

The ending scene by which this movie is linked to the Unbreakable is a fun addition. But hopefully this won't result in a Marvel like cluster of movies.
