Review of Splendor in the Grass (1961) by Trâm A — 22 May 2008
A movie of sexual repression and love. A beautiful young lady is advised not to give her virginity to her handsome boyfriend whom she is deeply in love with. As a result (should I say?), he left her to be with other girls who belong to the type of girls who can satisfy his sexual desire.
She was driven close to madness and had to stay in a psychiatric hospital. Their lives parted, but their hearts still somehow belong to each other. Good acting. Handsome actor. But so sad.
