Review of Spirits of the Dead (1968) by Tibor B — 07 Jun 2007
THIS IS A MUST SEE for edgar allen poe followers. all three shorts are completely brilliant, and they each have different directing styles. from some of the biggest directors in europe at the time.
But what I think makes the movie is Terence Stamps superb acting in the Toby Dammit sequence. his character is drunk the ENTIRE time, and he just does a wonderful job portraying the madness. this film short is similar to La Dolce Vita, in that it displays the idiotic Italian media in the 1960s.
