Review of Spirits of the Dead (1968) by Ayako A — 11 Jul 2009
Roger Vadim: Funny, I never knew they wore such skimpy garb in the Middle Ages ... It's somewhat interesting, but mostly forgettable.
Louis Malle: Fine ... but that scene where the girl is stripped naked, tied down and basically threatened with murder in front of a group of strangers is complete and utter ludicrous. Any normal human being, regardless of gender, would be screaming or at least trying to escape.
Federico Fellini: Love it! Easily the best of the three segments.
