Review of Spirits of the Dead (1968) by Chris C — 06 Aug 2008
The 5 stars I give are only for the Fellini segment, "Toby Dammit"; the other two put me to sleep in under 10 minutes. As always Fellini's surreal dreamlike approach to cinema is realized in this adaptation of Poe's "Never Bet the Devil Your Head.
.." or something like that. Terence Stamp as Toby Dammit, a stung out actor who is seemingly welcoming and afraid of death. Watch this before the other two segments.
