Review of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) by Joe E — 29 Dec 2010
Spirit is a truly inspiring and breathtaking movie which emphasizes the strong sense of perseverance and hope. As Spirit, a mustang is captured and abused by humans, he always manages to free himself and other captivated horses.
On his journey, he meets a young Lakota brave and they form a strong yet silent friendship. The story ends grandly as Spirit returns to his herd with a beautiful mare, Rain, and runs free yet again. Although slightly repetitive in terms of the capture of Spirit and him escaping, this movie uncovers the fire within one's soul and the flame one needs to keep on going.
Kids and adults alike will embrace this touching story.
