Review of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) by Carrie W — 03 Dec 2011
Completly original in that 1) the animals do not actually speak. 2) they don't have names except what the humans call them. 3) and it isn't fantasy in anyway, it's based in true time period of American history.
I like the idea of an animal narrating from his heart, that the songs tell a stroy rather than involve the entire forest joining in chorus, and that it ends in a way unlike most human/animal buddy films.
