Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by Rtheom — 15 Dec 2018

This is a really solid movie and definitely the best of 2018, and I doubt that it will be topped by anything else we have coming. The script is fun, funny but also manages to be serious when it needs to be.

The characters are all likeable and add to the narrative in good ways, the unique twists on some of the characters are cool, and the ending is satisfying. I would have liked to see maybe a little bit more action, and the animation was a little janky at spots, but this is a solid film and the first in a long time that I'd be willing to see in theaters more than once.

If you're a fan of super hero films but want something refreshingly different from the drag-on live action films, this movie is for you.
