Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by Justin L — 21 Dec 2018

Believe the hype folks! One of the best films of the year! The animation style is so unique and unlike anything I've ever seen before. It's like a famous painter grabbed the Spiderman character and plasted their vision onto the screen.

It's such a different feel then what is usually served up by other animation studios like Disney/Pixar. It has an engaging story, strong character development, loads of humour that really works, really strong voice cast; and is just an awesome fun ride.

This film cleverly attempts to appeal to both kids and adults. Some of the alternate characters (Spider-Ham & Peni Parker) are clearly for the kids; however the film shocked me with its mature themes - Miles struggling to find his place in the world and an older Peter Parker dealing with divorce.

Best Spider-Man movie ever made in my opinion. A must watch!
