Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse.

Initial Reaction: How do they get out of the Spider Verse?

Main Characters â" the spider um people.

Miles Morales, Peter B. Parker, Gwen Stacy, Peni Parker, Spider Ham, Spider Man Noir: The Spider people voiced by Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfield, Kimiko Glenn, John Mulaney and Nicolas Cage.

Plot Summary.

This story takes place in Milesâ(TM) universe. Just like all the other spider people, he gets bitten by a strange spider and gets the powers of Spiderman.

Also, the main bad guy, Kingpin, is working with inter-dimensional equipment. The first test goes badly and several Spider-people from other dimensions gets dragged into Milesâ(TM) dimension. They will have to work together in order to stop Kingpin, and get a way home.

SCORING.

Main Characters.

I like these spider people a lot. They work well together and each of them has a great personality and quirks. The best parts of the film are when they are working/not working together. SCORE: 10.

Supporting Characters.

Kingpin makes for a good villain because weâ(TM)re told of why he does what he does. And the other non superheroes add something special to the mix, namely Aunt May who has a big secret to show the Spider people. SCORE: 9.

Plot.

I enjoyed the trip that the film took me through. At moments, it was funny and at others it was gripping drama. But it all works in the end. SCORE: 9.

Originality.

I know, I know. Iâ(TM)ve heard the origin story a few too many times, and this film makes reference to it one too many times. But the main characters really add a nice spin to what could be a stale story. SCOR: 8.

Violence Factor.

Not for the youngest â" some people actually die in this film â" albeit not in a graphic way. Still, the deaths are a vital part of the story.

But I donâ(TM)t like the fact that either the characters are perfectly healthy or theyâ(TM)re dead. Nobody gets injured in these films. SCORE: 8.

Other Moral Issues.

This film shows how a group of strangers can get together to make a great team. It also shows the power of family and the belief one has in oneself. SCORE: 10.

Final Score (out of 60): 50 % Score: 83.33%.

Yes, itâ(TM)s another Spiderman â" or another superhero film. But I see is as a challenge to make the other action films better.
