Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by Roza B — 16 Dec 2018

As a 2D animator, I went to the cinema purely for the aesthetics. The design and style of this movie seemed breath-taking from the trailers alone. I didn't care much about the plot [I didn't have much hope that anything new or interesting will be produced].

..but I was SO DELIGHTED when I learned that the plot itself is as wonderful as the looks of the movie! There are plenty of hilarious jokes, I don't think there was a single one that the audience didn't laugh from, the animated action sequences were fantastic and made audience literally lean forward in their seats, the characters were great.

They were not some empty husks, they all beamed with their own individuality. I loved...every...single...second of this movie and I am so happy that this movie was released as it brings back hope into the world of bland 3Ds that market is packed with.

I am eager to see the sequel and the spin offs. For once I can't wait! I highly recommend to go to see it on the big screen as I am sure the experience will be ten times better than watching it on TV.

This is a movie that will stay in your heart for years!
