Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Marcovelous — 05 Aug 2017
It's the most fun, entertaining and light-hearted film that I have ever seen this year. It was better than my expectation because I didn't hold any optimism given the confusing appearance of Spiderman in Civil War (2016) and how bad the two Andrew Garfield films were.
It turned out the Marvel guys truly reinvented the way they do Spiderman movies. This time, Spiderman is charismatic than ever and it is rarely seen that a superhero has a heart, even how evil the villain is.
The involvement of other Avenger members brought a really interesting scope into the Spiderman franchise. The action scenes are not bad though. The easter egg after the film - you got me :) I am really intrigued and I look forward to a sequel to this film.
