Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Monster-Screen — 07 Jul 2017
Spider Man: Homecoming follows the long list of films that have been wasted by the great company Marvel. This film lacks all kind of plot base and sometimes the notion of previous facts is lost (especially by skipping events). The only thing I saw was a main character who all along sought the acceptance of Tony Stark. On the other hand, the uncle of Peter Parker is never named, apparently because they do not want to hurt the sensibility of the lesser public that wants to see this film, done by which it seems that Marvel decided that at no time was shown even a drop of blood or some blow. I understand that it is made also to be seen by children, but neither is meant to allow so much lack of realism (in a specific scene above all, in which Peter receives several blows and then gets up with a bit of dirt on his face).
Besides this, it is incredible the eagerness that they have for not killing characters. Blows, falls, explosions, combats, etc. and nothing serious happens.
There are many characters that I think were included in the plot but do not influence it. Many situations are not given importance or are unnecessary.
On the other hand, the moments of combat are quite good, especially in two situations. If you don't see it, you don't lose much either, especially having the Tobey Maguire trilogy to see or to see it again.
In short, I think it's a bad movie with good moments, which misses its potential. A regular start for the new Spider Man.
