Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Shamkasim — 09 Jul 2017

Unfortunately I was quite bored, nothing really ground breaking here and just another formula film from the MCU. I almost kind of wished maybe SONY should have done their film in the first place. They really checked all the diversity boxes they possibly could where it just started to feel forced.

Framing shots to include all the colors and sizes of each person made me shake my head a couple of times. I'm all for diversity but trying this hard was a bit much. The action was OK, Some of the CGI was ok (ferry Scene) to very bad (final battle with Vulture) Tom Holland was very good and Keaton was great also but a lot of the supporting cast were very Disney channel level which I guess works for some, especially young adults who just don't know any better.

Overall it was just another MCU episode along side their lower bar films of "Dr.
