Worth the money! As far as summer blockbusters go! Even without an origin story woven into play and captured in conversation, it still allows you to grow with the character as if it's his first real life challenge.

I wished they explored Spider-Man's character a little more visually post civil-war as that would of rounded of the edges left (out) of the script/story. But overall this was still successful granted the movie kicks off from that point.

One thing I didn't enjoy was the typical 'let's introduce you to' and '8 years later' in the space of what feels like a couple minutes just to signify how and when the heck did all this take place.

Our villains origin story was poorly executed. The only compensation was that they developed him a little more than most marvel films we've seen, and by developed I mean they gave him a little more screen time than most villains get.

A little back story on the AI available in Spider-Man's suit would have been good, considering how emotional it is, we've always seen Jarvis, Friday and another iteration of AI to be rather placid or sarky. But this was rather more evolved and the movie offered no explanation to why that was.

Overall the film was enjoyable, funny and the visuals + screen play was done superbly. Was so happy not to have to sit through 10 minute long montages as are usually expected in films that have a high school as a backdrop!

Like I said, worth the money! A little gem of a character hidden in there too!
