Review of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) by Colby H — 16 Jul 2017
I was walking into Spider-man: Homecoming expecting to get an improvement over the previous two starring Andrew Garfield. Those just might be the most disappointing comic-book films I've ever seen. They were pretty slow and they somewhat drove off the potential of the character. I much rather prefer the Sam Raimi spider-man films staring Toby Maguire. I was excited to see this film because of Tom Holland's portrayal of the character in Captain America: Civil War. I saw this movie and I adored it. It perfectly captured the true side of the character that we've all come to know and love. Michael Keaton plays The Vulture. He was ok. He wasn't as intimidating as I wanted him to be, but I still bought his portrayal. The movie was pure fun entertainment and is a well made film from a critical standpoint.
Over all, it was good.
