Review of Spider-Man 3 (2007) by Riley L — 23 Mar 2014
An enjoyable film, but very disappointing. For all the Spidey fans including myself, I left heartbroken. When I saw Spider-Man in 2002, I thought it told the origin very well, and the Spider-Man 2 came along.
The best superhero film next to The Dark Knight. The sequel had all the elements it needed to be a great film. So did Spider-Man 3. I liked the action scenes, and the sub-plots worked well. What impressed me the most was that the script was able to make all the characters relevent, it wasn't like X-Men 3, where people come and go.
I think they tried too much in one film, Venom was seriously disappointing, a waste of a character, same with Gwen Stacy. This isn't a boring film, but I've certianly seen better superhero films.
