Why do people hate this film? Spider-Man 3 has marvelous character development, a surprisingly well-handled narrative tone, brilliant villains, a much darker tone, and romance that actually made me give a shit. Not only are the action sequences and special effects flawless and easily the best of any Spider-Man film (including the new ones), but it's infused with significantly less cheesiness and good character arcs. I can honestly say this is the Spider-Man movie (and, in some ways, just the SUPERHERO movie) I've always wanted. It's not only my favorite Spider-Man film, but it has to be my favorite Marvel film. Yes. I actually liked it more than The Avengers.
But... I guess Emo Peter was a bit dumb.
