Review of Spider-Man 3 (2007) by Brandon L — 10 May 2014
Is Spider-Man 3 the weakest of all the Spider-Man films? Yes. Am I one if those people who constantly hates on it? No. There are way worse superhero films out there and there are some redeeming qualities. Some of the good things about this movie is the action. I thought the fight sequences were well shot, and throughout the movie was thoroughly entertained. Now, I think this movie could've been better if they took out either Sandman or Venom. You kind of had to put Harry in there, because you already set him up for this one in Spider-Man 2. It just felt like there was a lack of character development for the villains. You could say there are a lot of dumb cheesy moments in this movie, but to be fair there a are a lot of goofy moments in the other two. Maybe not as bad as Peter dancing throughout town like and idiot but still. I really wasn't a big fan of the black goo or the black suited Spider-Man, it just didn't work for me. Also Mary Jane continues to be the WORST love interest ever! She's always screaming, in trouble, and NEEDY! Like I said I didn't hate this movie, it was just a step down from the others and really needed work. Overall I enjoyed it for what it was and think it would be a good theater experience.
See it in Theaters! 3 Stars!
