Review of Spider-Man 3 (2007) by Alex H — 15 Aug 2014
At first it was super disappointing, but looking back on Spider-Man 3, it's actually pretty much okay. Ignoring the botched adaptation of Venom (which, after all, only exists in such a state because of executive meddling), Spider-Man 3 is an alright movie.
But at this point, the cheesiness of the Raimi films was beginning to wear on audiences who'd already been fed a heaping dose of the upcoming "gritty superhero reboot" flavour in the form of Batman Begins.
