Review of Spider-Man 2 (2004) by Jovyn A — 24 Apr 2014
This movie combined plot elements of the comics Amazing Spider-Man #3, Spider-Man Annual #1, ASM #31- 33, ASM #50, and ASM #53- 55, and did it extremely well. The character of Doctor Octopus especially was especially well-done, making him one of the few movie villains you really do feel sorry for.
Of course, it's not without its issues. In my opinion, they ade Peter Parker a bit TOO pathetic- seeming, and they made the character of Mary Jane more of a plot-device than a character. Still, this movie was great, and it's probably still the best Spider-Man movie to date.
