Review of Spider-Man (1977) by Simon K — 01 Oct 2014
Why was the story of how Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man redone? There was no need to retell and redirect this part. The first three Spider-Man films starting Tobey McGuire unfolded a solid storyline that didn't need alteration.
The plot line could write easily have been carried forward. We, the viewing audience, would have accepted a change in staring actor, but a change in store line is a little hard to swallow. A good film, nevertheless, but lacking in substance that the first three films possessed.
