Review of Spellbound (2002) by Nick C — 28 Feb 2009
A captivating insight into another facet of American culture that shows how competitive people can get over a seemingly mundane talent.
The children are undoubtedly the stars whilst their parents are the supporting characters, and the 'cast' is great, particularly Gale DeGideo, the incredibly entertaining mother with the huge spectacles who seems to be stuck in the 80s!
Be sure to check out the 'Epilogues' bonus feature. It's not very much but, given that the event involved took place in 1999, it's great to see what the kids are up to now.
