This film has been so hyped I had to see what all the fuss was about. And it's about a spelling competition. That's all. It's about kids spelling bastard hard words to be named best speller.
They don't get anything from it. Being able to spell words most people have never heard of is not going to help them in life. "Hi, is that Yale? Yeah, I don't have any degrees, but I can spell 'mayonnaise'.
