Review of Speed Racer (2008) by Harlank. — 13 May 2008
This movie is dazzling. It is so bight and saturated that the real world will look incredibly dull and gray after you step out of the theatre. It really does overwhelm the senses and provides enough stimulation to power a medium sized city.
Seriously, if you want to see just how extreme film making can be, see this movie. And of course the story is weak, it's based on a cartoon ffs. You have to suspend disbelief of this movie won't be able to work it's magic.
And if you're lucky enough to live near an IMAX theater that is showing this, you've GOT to go. It's brilliant.
