Review of Spawn (1997) by Josh H — 22 Apr 2012
I was a fan of the comic book, and I thought this was a pretty lame adaptation. John Leguizamo plays his role as annoyingly as it was in the comic book (which works, I guess), but overall the movie is really cheesy.
Dialog is just as bad. On top of that, it includes one of my biggest movie pet peeves: The Devil fighting people, even superheroes, is just annoying to me. But the worst part was the awful special effects they used for The Devil.
It was embarrassing.
