Review of Spartan (2004) by Michael B — 01 Apr 2007
This mess of a film just bothers me so much. As a viewer, you don't care what happens to the characters, you don't care what happens to the girl but most of all the main guy, is probebly the the most unlikeable character I have haver seen.
It's not a "good" unlikeable either. No, it's the "Get the hell out of my line of sight" unlikeable. He feels the need to repeat the same question over and over to whoever he happens to be interrigating at the time, which he does alot of.
He even tries to interigate the guy he shot and who is very obviosly dieing. Our hero is constantly ording people and there is not a shred of serios emotion. He seems to care about his friend when his friend gets shot but survives, but doesent give a crap when his friend gets shot and does not survive.
I'm sorry if I spoiled that little plot point for you. The plot sucks anywase and it's not like the guys death has any effect on the rest of the movie. Speaking of the plot it's just plain dull and it makes you wish that you had spent the last 2 hours doing something constructive, like say, learning the guitar or watching something not-useless.
