The plot is good, but a less than satisfactory performance from Val Kilmer and a lame supporting cast made this film a huge bust. It could have been alot better but it went a cheezy route with crappy lines, bad character development and an indiscernible ending.
Overall, Spartan wasn't worth seeing, but at least it was only an hour and a half.
