Review of Spartacus (1960) by Christopher G — 08 Oct 2008
It's no Ben-Hur, but it still ranks as a classic epic. The best part is a flirtation scene so slightly less subtle than other coded language at the time that it was originally censored from the film.
The worst part is the hopelessly maudlin ending which says the death of an entire revolution is fine as long as its leader passed on some genes before he dies.
