Review of Spartacus (1960) by Susan B — 05 Apr 2011
Finally got to see ALL of it on a big screen and I loved it! Probably Kirk's greatest? - I was already a fan and this one just blew me away. This movie really does have it all: stars galore, strong men fighting to the death, poetry, and romance. I especially liked Ustinov's fine acting. His charactor was great: bored, jaded or just plain detached, yet a good- hearted fellow in the end. Loved the gentle pride of his "corpulence"!
Just to let y'all know, I like neither snails nor oysters (and you can take that any way you want to).
