Review of Sparkle (2012) by Alan G — 15 Aug 2012
Great music, poor storytelling. This is the same old song about a girl group that suffers thanks to drug addiction and one member's abusive husband....and that's not even Sparkle's story. It's weird for a movie named after one of the characters to not actually be about that character until 2/3 of the way through, right? This is a great cast squandered.
