Ever Watch a performance and felt like it was "safe" performance, it wasn't great but it certainly wasn't bad? If so that is what I received from Sparkle. The cast performed well, the music was pretty much good, and I enjoyed it but after all was said and done I wanted more from the story.
Maybe something unexpected or a twist to a familiar story.
