Review of Spanglish (2004) by Ian L — 18 Nov 2008
As I managed to watch virtually the whole film at the second attempt I am rewriting my comments accordingly. These are not as harsh as those I wrote originally but I still struggle with the premise of an hispanic domestic servant left to learn English in order to communicate with her ignorant disfunctional employer family and almost losing her daughter to the wicked white self obsessed anglo saxon attitude in the process.
I also cannot why in a million years would Paz Vega ever be remotely attracted to Adam Sandler, who has put on weight and seems continuously whiney, no wonder Tea Leoni gives him a hard time.
