Review of Spanglish (2004) by Steve T — 17 Sep 2014
Just as even a broken clock is right twice a day, Adam Sandler occasionally, by accident, can actually make a good movie. This is a great movie about a martyred man and a martyred Mother temporarily coming together.
I think Adam Sandler's problem is he is a far better dramatic actor than he wants to be . . . and certainly better than his comedic writing and his mediocre comedy. I still do not understand the tagline in relationship to the movie plot.
