Preposterous of course, but nevertheless an enjoyable trot around the paddock for a group of 'senior' actors. Kudos to Tommy Lee Jones, eleven years younger than Sutherland, eighteen than Garner and sixteen years Eastwood's junior for portraying a contemporary of theirs, a fighter pilot sent into space to repair a failing satellite.
The Armageddon it's OK to like.
