Review of Space Cowboys (2000) by Dizzie C — 09 Feb 2016
Clint Eastwood's Space Cowboys is a great movie that is very interesting to see Clint Eastwood's take on the space genre. I'm glad to see that the film doesn't rushed through it just so that they can get to the space scene.
The characters have been done before, but they are pretty enjoyable. The acting is really great, and the conversations that Clint Eastwood and Tommy Lee Jones have are one of the best parts of the movie, and they're really funny when they are on screen together.
The movie has been done before, I mean heck, Armageddon done this premise which was an asteroid instead of a satellite, and that movie has been done before also. When it gets to the space scene, the effects look amazing, not perfect like Gravity, but very impressive looking.
Speaking of Gravity, after seeing that for how almost realistic it is, it was a bit distracting to see how unrealistic it was like hearing sound for example. It did got a bit predictable when it got there, but I was still interested to see what's going to happen next.
Space Cowboys is not the best space film, but it's probably one of the funniest space films that I had a great time watching.
