Review of Soylent Green (1973) by Patrice J — 15 Nov 2010
That is one of my favorite genre movie. A tribute to the 70's sci-fi films. ... They simply don't make them like that anymore. Soylent Green's subject mater is so actual in this early 21st century.
We're on the verge of a cataclysmic food shortage, where north americans consume more food than they can produce. Of all the movies that were remade, this one should get a remake done. Something nice and meaningful.
(not a platitude!) A movie about us, about consumption, about inequalities.
