Review of Soylent Green (1973) by Marko C — 05 Jul 2011
Soylent Green wasn't all it cracked up to be...perhaps it was because growing up I heard "it's the people" line many times and sort of knew the plot going in so it wasn't much of a surprise, which I'm sure back in the day would've been a crazy twist.
Things that got to me were "The Scoopers" and people just chillin' in them until they were thrown into the back rather than jumping out? I thought that was just lame...Heston did an excellent job as usual and the supporting cast as well was good, but as usual with many sci-fi's there's not enough time to explain everything or have a better back-story so sadly a combination of things help downgrade this movie for me.
