Jake was awesome; he truly was. I thought this film was going to be very violent, so I avoided it in theaters, but it was no more violent than other boxing movies. Instead, it was more dramatic, about Jake's relationship with his daughter, and the difficulties - and overcoming of them - that he encountered after his wife died.
Very good movie.
