There are great boxing movies and movies wanting to be like them. This is the latter...it's Rocky without the unpredictability, Raging Bull without the originality, The Fighter without the characters.
..it gets stars because it is not that bad a movie...Whitaker is very good, it's got enough ingredients to keep you eating...trouble is, you will have tasted it before.
