Review of Southland Tales (2007) by Léopold T — 14 Aug 2011
Southland Tales looked so good, I mean just look at the cast of actors and actresses and it seems like it would be a summer blockbuster film. This movie tried to do to much and it all came crashing down.
Their is a lot of politics in the film and a few different story lines going on that all intersect at the end. There were more then a few moments that made me go "What the Hell" and because their was so much going on it is easy to get lost in all the plot and political issues surrounding the characters.
I think this could of been a great movie, the story was strong although weird and out there, but if the film would of been shortened a bit and certain plot lines and characters cut or refined, this one could of been a must see.
Do not let the large cast of big name actors leads you on, this one is nothing special and rather boring at times.
