Easily one of the greatest movies ever made. It's intricate and allegorical in biblical proportions, and it has tons of flaws which are insignificant in comparison to what it accomplishes. If you like movies that are hard to follow and have a lot to say about society, while having an almost mystical destiny as a part of the plot, then this is the movie for you.

The acting is bad (but entertaining), the jokes are crude, and the whole movie is very heavy-handed about it's message (not subtle). The black humor is great, the visuals are well-done and the music is amazing.

This movie actually feels like a religious experience and will remain one of the most under-appreciated movies of all time.
