Review of Southland Tales (2007) by Nikita G — 20 Mar 2009
A text-book example of that subgenre of the Interesting Failure. Some intriguing ideas and the occasional nifty scene emerge from this muddled mess. I don't know if a Director's Cut at its original three hour length would make this any better, especially with Jon Lovitz acting like The Terminator with silver hair, one of the many crazy ideas that don't really work in the end.
