Somehwere in this incoherent mess is a good idea... just very poorly executed. Even David Lynch would have a hard time trying to explain this to anyone. I understood all the themes in the movie and what it was about, but the director just didn't seem to have a clue how get these to fit into a movie.
Maybe the Director's Cut would yield more answers... but then again, that got booed at Cannes.
