Review of Southland Tales (2007) by David S — 11 Oct 2009

After failing to be impressed by Richard Kelly's previous film 'Donnie Darko', 'Southland Tales' just stole any lingering remnant of respect I had toward the young director. The story and characters are just too outrageous and the acting is laughably bad.

For me to sit and write a list of everything wrong with this movie would take longer than the film itself (and at a two and half hour running time, that's a lot of complaints). Unfortunately, the only way to comprehend the mess that is 'Southland Tales' is it spend the time and watch it yourself, and in no way, shape, or form do I recommend trying this.
