Review of Southland Tales (2007) by Archibald T — 22 Mar 2011
It's not completely straight forward in what it's trying to say. This film is a slightly adapted version of the Book of Revelations. Look close because it's there. The other stuff, which clouds this interpretation, in the film is made out to be a paranoid comedy.
I thought it was beautifully told with a few exceptions of course, like some of the odd dialogue, but if you look pass that you'll notice something deeper and very original. It's meaning is irrelevent, but it's story is unique.
You gotta hand it to Kelly for doing something different, at least.
